Ernest Machorro

“Being functional in every movement will make activity flow efficiently in everyday life.”

Dallas native Ernest Machorro, A.T.C., L.A.T., C.E.S., has been a certified athletic trainer since 2013. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Arlington, where he completed over 1,500 clinical and volunteer hours alongside professional teams and at area sporting events, clinics and high school and university athletic programs. While completing his education, Ernest worked with Southern Methodist University’s women’s basketball and soccer teams. During this time, he gained valuable experience treating athletic injuries as well as assisting with training drills.

During his final year, Ernest was selected to intern with Dallas’s own Major League Soccer team, F.C. Dallas. While working with F.C. Dallas, he sharpened his skills with therapeutic modalities designed to treat athletes while undergoing comprehensive training in biomechanics and functional movement to help prevent further injury. He also worked closely with the team’s nutritionists to understand the often overlapping relationship between proper nutrition, energy expenditures, athletic wellness and sports injuries.

Prior to joining the InMotion Rehab team, Ernest worked at a sports medicine clinic and covered many local sporting events as an athletic trainer and first-aid responder. He has worked with a diverse array of clients, including the Dallas Mavericks, the daughter of a Russian gold medalist ice skater, police officers, firefighters and pediatric/geriatric patients ranging from 8 to 70 years old.
